Once again, the Universidad Popular de Mazarrón, with the la collaboration of the Universidad de Murcia and the Agencia de Ciencia y Tecnología de la Región de Murcia, organizes, on March 7, 8 and 9, the 11th edition of Phicaria. Encuentros Internacionales del Mediterráneo that will take place at the headquarters of this University. This year’s theme is Pottery as a reflection of the encounter in the Iberian Peninsula: Phoenicians, Punics, Iberians and Greeks and its objective is to analyze the commercial and social interrelationships that were established between the different cultures of Iberia during the Antiquity though the study of pottery productions. The Encuentros will feature ten presentations commissioned by different specialists, various communications and posters and a guided tour for of the city of Mazarrón and the mining complex San Cristóbal y Los Perules in the same town. The scientific direction is in charge of Dr. Benjamín Cutillas (Universidad Complutense de Madrid) and Dr. Sebastián F. Ramallo (Universidad de Murcia).
