Entre Caos y Cosmos. Naturaleza en la Antigua Grecia

Last October 30, the temporary exhibition Entre el Casos y Cosmos. Naturaleza en la Antigua Grecia was inaugurated at the Museo Arqueológico Nacional (MAN) which can be seen for free until March 30, 2025. The exhibition explains the meaning and relationship with Nature that the ancient Greeks maintained through more than a hundred archaeological objects which can be seen in the sample. It is an interesting set of Greek pottery, with its rich iconography, terracottas, casts of sculptures and coins related to Nature. Some of these pieces are presented for the first time in Spain, such as those from the Museé du Louvre in Paris, the Antikensammlung in Berlin and the Staatliche Antikensammlungen und Glyptothek in Munich.

The exhibition has been organized by the Museo Arqueológico Nacional and Acción Cultural Española, its curators being Mª. Ángeles Castellano and Margarita Moreno Conde, from the Department of Greek and Roman Antiquities of the MAN, and is part of the commemorative events of the tenth anniversary of the new architectural and museographic reform of the museum (2014-2024).
