Issue 59 (2025) of the Empúries journal of the Museu d’Arqueologia de Catalunya, which has just been published, contains the article “Greek pottery from Mesas de Asta (Jerez de la Frontera, Cádiz). New typological and chronological data and a contextualization of the consumption patterns” by Álvaro Miranda García and Antonio M. Sáez Romero, from the Departamento de Prehistoria y Arqueología of the Universidad de Sevilla. The work presents 46 examples of Attic fine wares (1 black-figure, 14 red-figure, 4 possible red-figure, and 27 black-glazed) from the excavations carried out at the site Hasta Regia (Mesas de Asta) by M. Esteve Guerrero between 1942 and 1958. It is an interesting review and study of these materials which, despite not having stratigraphic references, allow us to verify the consumption of Greek imports in the city between the 6th and 4th centuries BC, within the commercial circuits of Gadir (Cádiz) and its immediate territory.
