Routledge has published the book The Greeks in Iberia and their Mediterranean context (New York, 2024), edited by Jens A. Krasilnikoff and Benedict Lowe, which collects the papers presented at the workshop held at Aarhus University (Denmark) on October 10 and 11, 2013, more than ten years ago, by different researchers of various nationalities. Among the eleven articles published, we highlight for their interest those by Adolfo J. Domínguez Monedero “Iberia and the Greek world. What role for the Greeks in Iberia?”, Pierre Rouillard “Exchanges between the Greek world and the Iberian Peninsula from the eighth to the fourth century BC”, Pierre Moret, “Iberian or Greek?: Current debate on the coastal settlement of La Picola (Santa Pola, Alicante”, Eduardo García Alfonso “The Greeks and the Bay of Málaga: Five centuries of relationships and trade in the Phoenician West” and Carmen Sánchez Fernández and Diana Rodríguez Pérez, “Images in motion. Fourth century BC Athenian pottery from the Iberian Peninsula: Workshops and iconography”. The absence in the monograph of the Catalan archaeologists who investigate the Greek cities of Emporion (Empúries, l’Escala, Girona) and Rode (Roses, Girona) is surprising, as is the inclusion of the last four articles that have no connection with the Greek Archaeology on the Iberian Peninsula.
