The Ministerio de Cultura y Deporte, through the Museo Arqueológico Nacional (MAN), has just published the book Abantos. Homenaje a Paloma Cabrera Bonet in digital format, which includes 98 articles written by 149 colleagues and friends of Dr. Paloma Cabrera (Madrid, 1954-2020), head of the Department of Greek and Roman Antiquities of the MAN from 1992 until her death last year. The works, prepared in memory and tribute to Paloma, have been grouped by their editors (Andrés Carretero, Marigel Castellano, Margarita Moreno Conde and Concha Papi Rodes of the MAN) in seven different thematic sections: Iberian Peninsula and Canary Islands (with four sub-sections: Prehistory and Protohistory, Roman Hispania, Middle Ages and Modern and Contemporary Ages), Egypt, Etruria, Greece, Roma, Evocations and Legacy. All the papers presented are of great interest, both those of a scientific nature and those related to the professional and personal activities of Paloma Cabrera. A voluminous miscellany of 1060 pages that shows the affection, respect and consideration that Paloma Cabrera deserved by all those who shared with her the passion for Classical Archaeology and Museology.
The tribute book can be downloaded for free at this link of the Ministerio de Cultura y Deporte: https://www.libreria.culturaydeporte.gob.es/libro/abantos_5376/
