A commemorative event for the 75-year history of the Curs Internacional d’Arqueologia d’Empúries will be held on 10 October at the Empúries headquarters of the Museu d’Arqueologia de Catalunya. This Course, created in 1947 by professors Martín Almagro Basch and Lluís Pericot, has been running uninterruptedly until now, with its 75th edition taking place last July. The Course, aimed at university students of classical archaeology, combines archaeological excavation practices, both in the Greek city of Emporion and in the Roman city of Emporiae, with theoretical lectures given by guest professors and cultural outings to different museums and archaeological sites.

All the participants of the Archaeology Courses of Empúries who so wish are invited to the commemorative events on October 10.
