Published the Proceedings of the 3th Conference of the International Association for Research on Pottery of the Hellenistic Period (IARPotHP)

The International Association for Research on Pottery of the Hellenistic Period (IARPotHP) has published the Proceedings of the 3th Conference, organized by the Association, “Exploring the Neighborhood. The Role of Ceramics in Understanding Place in the Hellenistic World” (Wien, 2020), held from June 1 and 4, 2017 in Kaštela (Croatia). The volume, edited by Ivanka Kamenjarin and Marina Ugarkovic, consists of 52 articles on recent research on Hellenistic pottery productions in the Mediterranean, highlighting for Hispania the works of Antonio Sáez Romero and Max Luaces on the Ramon T-7433/Mañá C2b amphorae from the area of the Strait of Gibraltar and that of Héctor Uroz, Albert Ribera and Nora Hernández on the pottery from the contexts of the destruction of the Iberian oppidum of Libisosa (Lezuza, Albacete) during the Sertorian War.

Also, between the 22nd and 25th of this month of June, the IARPotHP has held its “5th Conference: From East to West and back again: societies, economies and ceramics in the Hellenistic World”, originally planned in person in the city of Sevilla (Spain), but that due to the situation created by the Covid-19 has been carried out online with great success.
